About the recipe

A very simple and quick recipe for the absolute classic at every Pesach table. But the kneidelach are so delicious and tender that you'll want to make them more often ;).

Ingredients

  • 1.5 glasses of matzah, cut into small pieces

  • 1 glass of hot water

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 onion

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • salt + pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Pour the hot water over the matzah and let it soak for 10 minutes.


Step 2

Squeeze the soaked matzah well and place it in a new bowl.


Step 3

Whisk the eggs and add to the matzah.


Step 4

Add finely chopped onion and chopped garlic to the matzah mixture.


Step 5

Add salt and pepper to taste and mix everything well.


Step 6

Form small balls from the dough and cook them in a pot of water for about 17 minutes.


Step 7

Alternatively, you can use broth instead of water.
